Description

With their vivid fusion of blue, green, yellow, and red, male Painted Buntings seem to have flown straight out of a child’s coloring book. They start to show up in south Florida in early autumn and they stay throughout Winter and Spring. The image was captured in April, 2023 in a weedy field next to water in the Refuge.
